IMG_7437-1Kraft Foods Group announced last month that it would start using only natural ingredients in its signature Macaroni & Cheese, putting the company on a roster of other food and beverage players eliminating artificial ingredients and other ingredients consumers consider unhealthy, including Nestle USA, Hershey, Dunkin’ Donuts, McDonald’s, Tyson Foods, PepsiCo and Chipotle Mexican Grill. The shift is driven by consumer demand for transparency and concerns about antibiotics, GMOs and other ingredients, according to Technomic’s Senior Director of Product Innovation Mary Chapman.
